Newmarket Plant Hire is on course to light up the construction industry

One of East Anglia’s leading plant and tool hire firms, Newmarket Plant Hire; have taken delivery of a fleet of temporary lighting sets from the Milton Keynes based company, Tower Light UK Limited.

The order comprises of a combination of Tower Light’s popular VT1 and VB9 models and will be distributed around all six Newmarket Plant Hire depots, strengthening their position as a prominent supplier of lighting systems to the construction industry.

Commenting on this purchase, Carl Jarvis, Newmarket Plant Hire’s managing director said, “With the increasing propensity for construction work to be completed outside of daylight hours, we noted an upturn in the demand for temporary site lighting. Tower Light products are well known in the industry and they had been recommended to us by a regular user of Tower Light equipment”.

The VB9 incorporates a 170-litre capacity fuel tank with a running time between refuelling of 340 hours, an increase of a massive 435%. This means that operators are spared from refuelling each light once week to once a month. Powered by a diesel engine with 12V electric start and fitted into a whisper quiet sound proof canopy, the VB9 incorporates easy access for maintenance with large lockable doors.

The VT1 is a stalwart of the Tower Light range and is one of the safest and easiest lighting towers to operate. Its 9-metre 360° vertical hydraulic mast features a single lever operation, enabling one person to safely erect the mast in less than 30 seconds.
