Biggleswade (Great Britain), March 2019
Southwater-based Southern Cranes & Access Ltd has depots across London and the south-east and operates in the Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire and Hampshire regions as well as in London and surrounding areas.
A loyal Liebherr customer, the company has just taken delivery of an LTM 1130-5.1 mobile crane. As well as a double fly jib and Liebherr’s unique VarioBaseÒ system, the LTM 1130-5.1 has a long telescopic boom at 60 m with a 14 m telescopic boom extension. Boom length is coupled with outstanding lifting capacities and this crane has great flexibility of use because of its optimum lifting capacities with full and partial ballast.
The compact dimensions of this 130 tonne machine mean that the crane can manoeuvre its way around confined work sites and its top-of-the-range technology makes it even more effective in operation.
Southern Cranes & Access’s new LTM 1130-5.1 will soon be joined by an LTM 1095-5.1 mobile crane, which is also equipped with a double fly jib and VarioBaseÒ. Of the company’s latest arrival from Liebherr, Kelvin Prince from Southern Cranes & Access Ltd said: ‘We are delighted to have taken delivery of our third Liebherr LTM1130-5.1, the only crane in its class to be able to rig on infinite outrigger positions thanks to the VarioBaseÒ. We have found this machine to be very versatile on site allowing extremely tight operations to be carried out. We also are looking forward to receiving our second Liebherr LTM1095-5.2. Both machines complement our fleet profile perfectly.’
