Three models from the ground-breaking JCB Access range will star at Vertikal Days alongside popular models from JCB’s world leading Loadall telescopic handler range and generators from JCB Power Products.
JCB signalled its intention to become a major player in the $8 billion global access market with the launch of its new range and the stand will feature three of the nine new electric scissor lifts already proving popular in rental fleets.
Spanning from 15’ (4.6m) to 45’ (13.8m), the full range of JCB scissor lifts have operating weights of between 2,930-7,420lb (1,330kg-3,366kg). Of the models on display, the S1930e has a platform measuring 5’4” (1.64m) long by 2’6” (0.76m) wide, the S2646e uses an 8’2” (2.5m) long platform and the largest S4550e model has an 8’ 8” (2.64m) long working area.
The machines are rated for basket capacities from 500lb (227kg) to a maximum of 1,212lb (550kg) and the electric scissors are powered by four 6V or 12V batteries, with hydraulic drive. All models are certified by TUV to ensure the highest quality standards and the machines also comply with the latest ANSI and CSA legislation.
JCB’s global dealer network has undergone full sales and service training to be able to provide world-class back-up for the access platform ranges. JCB’s LiveLink telematics system is available as an option on the scissors, providing customers and rental fleets in particular with a full telematics link to the platforms for increased security and maximum uptime.
Also targeting the working at height and lifting equipment sector, the JCB 540-180 Hi-Viz Loadall telescopic handler will be showcased with a compatible JCB man platform. The JCB 540-180 Hi Viz is an 18-metre machines specifically built to meet the needs of rental companies and contractors, offering reduced cost of ownership, faster cycle times and best in class visibility, with improved lift height and increased forward reach.
Data recorded on JCB’s LiveLink telematics system – fitted as standard across its telehandler range – has shown that operators of JCB Loadall telescopic handlers featuring the Smart Power 55kW/74hp JCB EcoMAX engine, such as the 540-180 HiViz are achieving an impressive fuel consumption of just 4.1 litres per hour. At Vertikal Days it will power one of the latest range of JCB aerial work platform baskets which are fully EN280 compliant and feature a constant speed basket slewing mechanism and rear axle lock on the telehandler itself to maximise stability.
The JCB G116QS generator is powered by JCB’s four cylinder Dieselmax Stage IIIA engine, providing very low noise levels. It delivers 107 kVa prime power or 118.50 kVa standby power. JCB QS generators are designed to meet the needs of a very demanding market for both prime and standby power applications. Designed to suit all applications, including: residential, rental, construction, quarrying and mining industries, agricultural sectors they can be used as back-up power supply for commercial applications such as hospitals, offices and datacentres.
