Hampshire Plant & Access has taken delivery of two skid steer loaders to complete a £1 million investment this year to update and expand its powered access and plant hire fleet.
The two Gehl R135 skid loaders are the final plant in an investment that has seen the following added to the HPA fleet:
• Six boom lifts, with working heights from 10m to 21m
• 10 electric scissor lifts, with working heights from 6m to 12m
• 10 excavators, from 2.5 ton to 8 ton
• 7 dumpers, from 6 ton to 9 ton
• 5 telehandlers, reaching from 6m to 14m
• 3 800mm & 120mm rollers
• 6 compressors
The two skid steer loaders, together with two small tracked dumpers, are new to the HPA fleet and have been purchased to meet an increasing demand from the landscaping contractor sector due to their ability to work in areas where space is restricted
The radial-lift design of the skid loaders provides excellent forward reach at the middle of the lift path, making them ideal for loading flatbed trucks, backfilling or dumping over a wall. They gave a 612kg operating capacity and a lift height of 2784mm.
Operating from depots in Winchester, Southampton and Salisbury, HPA has a fleet of over 600 machines, together with an extensive range of powered access machines and plant.
With HPA’s £1 million investment now complete, the company is already planning further substantial investment in its fleet for next year.
