Firefly supplies a range of Hybrid Power Generators (HPGs) and will be launching two new hybrid models at the Executive Hire Show in February. Firefly’s HPGs have become particularly popular on construction sites for contractors looking to reduce carbon emissions.
The two new models offer advanced autonomy, increased power and operating capacity, longer run times as well as new battery technology. In addition, visitors to the stand can view Firefly’s current offering of Cygnus® models, which range from 1.2kVA to 24 kVA.
Andy Mead, Director and Founder of Firefly, commented, “We pride ourselves on having become the ‘go to’ company for hybrid power technology in the rental market. The Executive Hire Show is an ideal platform for us to showcase our two new models, which complement our existing range.”
Hybrid generators provide a host of benefits; providing clean energy storage solutions that integrate a range of power sources to optimise energy efficiency, reducing fuel costs as well as CO2 emissions by as much as 50% (and more in some cases). In fact, since the launch of the Cygnus 24kVA, Firefly has saved 1 million litres of diesel. They also allow contractors to reduce the runtime of onsite generators by as much as half and see a decrease in particulate (PM10), carbon and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions of up to 50%. This also helps to reduce the chance of mechanical breakdown and smoking from running at low load.
