CW Plant goes for more Trime lighting sets

Charles Wilson Engineers (CW Plant) are continuing to expand their hire fleet of Trime X-ECO LED lighting towers with another investment of 250 sets purchased from the Cambridgeshire based site lighting specialists, Trime UK Limited.

CW Plant’s engine-powered site lighting fleet is now entirely made up of Trime X-ECO LED lighting towers, totalling 600 sets and distributed throughout their nationwide network of 18 depots.

Graham Pollard, CW Plant Director, said, “We have taken the decision to standardise entirely on the X-ECO LED sets for a number of reasons. Firstly, they incorporate the most modern technology, with excellent fuel efficiency. Together with these features and all of their other environmental attributes makes the X-ECO LED a very attractive proposition for our clients.”

The X-ECO LED has a number of environmental qualities and safety aspects. The set is fitted with the AMOSS safety system, which automatically lowers the mast if the lighting set is moved whilst the mast is still erected. The complete unit features an external emergency stop button, a fully bunded fuel tank, four height adjustable stabilisers and site levels for guidance during deployment. The energy saving LED lamps will work for up to 2000 hours without replacement.

CW Plant’s own environmental credentials have recently been reinforced by their creation of a programme, set for late 2018 and early 2019, which will see the installation of solar photovoltaic systems to the 11 feasible branches of their 18 nationwide. They see that renewable energy is essential for creating a sustainable future for the planet.

Charles Wilson Engineers began trading in Harpenden, Hertfordshire in 1979 and the company remains a privately owned rental business. They offer a plant hire and tool hire service in London and all across the South East, South West, the Midlands, North West and a new depot in Newcastle in the North East. CW Plant also provides PASMA and IPAF training, alongside a comprehensive line of forklift and manual handing courses.

The Trime Group has over 50 years of experience in the development and marketing of environmentally sustainable lighting sets for the event, construction and rental markets. Trime UK is headquartered in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire; their manufacturing plant is based near Milan, Italy.
