Crowland Cranes raises number of Liebherr cranes in fleet

After buying its first ever Liebherr cranes in 2016, Peterborough-based Crowland Cranes has recently taken delivery of an LTM 1040-2.1 mobile crane with a second LTM 1040-2.1 due to be delivered in early 2019.

Crowland Cranes’ compact two-axle LTM 1040-2.1 is fitted with Liebherr’s unique VarioBaseÒ system, which is particularly effective for lifting operations in locations where space is restricted, and in common with all the company’s new cranes is also equipped with a refinery kit. With both axles driven and steerable, this crane has excellent all-terrain capability and manoeuvrability on even the most confined building sites, making it a highly useful addition to the company’s fleet.

Crowland Cranes’ Managing Director Peter Issitt said: ‘Since our first purchase back in 2016, we now operate a total of 7 Liebherr machines, operating from our three locations in East Anglia. We are pleased with the developing relationship between Crowland and Liebherr-Great Britain, this includes the good service & product support provided by the team at Biggleswade.’
