Bobcat Announces New Dealer Changes for Yorkshire in the UK

Bobcat has announced new changes in the dealers responsible for sales and service of the market-leading range of Bobcat skid-steer and compact track loaders, mini-excavators, telehandlers and attachments in Yorkshire in the UK.

Bobcat has appointed Grays Machinery Ltd (www.graysml.co.uk), based in Bedale, as the new Authorised Bobcat Dealer for North and West Yorkshire. The company has also extended the area covered by AMS Bobcat Limited, based in Scunthorpe, to include South Yorkshire. AMS is already the Authorised Bobcat Dealer for Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire.

Sandy Gray, Owner/Director of Grays Machinery, said: “We are very proud to be appointed by Bobcat to represent this world famous brand in North and West Yorkshire. We bring a lot of local knowledge, expertise, experience and enthusiasm to selling and supporting the Bobcat range in Yorkshire. I believe there are many fantastic opportunities to expand sales for Bobcat in this region in agriculture, construction and rental markets as well as many other areas.”

Quality Service for Bobcat Customers

Paul Hyslop, the Bobcat District Manager UK North, commented: “I am very impressed with the service Grays can offer in North and West Yorkshire. Combined with their familiarity with the local market and their dedication, drive and passion for the Bobcat range, I am confident Grays will be an excellent dealer. The company has proved to be quick off the mark, recording their first sale of a Bobcat E17 mini-excavator just three days after taking over the dealership.”

As well as the entire Bobcat range of machines and attachments, Grays also offers a full selection of genuine Bobcat accessories and parts to support both new and existing Bobcat customers in its area. This is backed up by a stock of both brand new and second hand Bobcat machines for sale. Customers also benefit from Grays’ on-site service network, covering everything from emergency repairs to routine maintenance.

Sandy Gray continued: “Being based centrally at Northallerton outside Bedale, we are only 45 minutes from any Bobcat customer in our area. We have a background in a wide range of equipment including Bobcat machines, with a close working knowledge of virtually every industry we deal with, especially landscaping, construction and farming. We offer a service second to none, dedicated to the Bobcat brand and accompanied by continuous investment in our stock of machines and parts for our customers.”

Long-standing Bobcat dealer

In contrast to Grays, AMS Bobcat has been a Bobcat dealer for over 25 years. Steve McIntosh, Managing Director of AMS Bobcat, said: “Congratulations to Grays on their new appointment. We are delighted that Bobcat has shown confidence in us by extending our area to cover South Yorkshire. This is the latest development in the long relationship between our companies and we look forward to many more years of working together.”

Paul Hyslop commented: “We are very pleased to have our newest dealer in Grays and one of our oldest, AMS, working alongside each other, representing Bobcat in different parts of Yorkshire. Both are professional companies that are easy to do business with. Their dedication and reliable aftercare service help to ensure the smooth running of Bobcat equipment in their areas.”

Bobcat offers 12 skid-steer loader models, complementing these wheeled machines with a selection of seven compact track loaders, including the latest top-of-the-range T870 model.

The Bobcat mini-excavator range comprises 17 models with operating weights from 1.0 to 8.5 tonne, with the newest addition being the exciting R(Revolutionary)-Series models from 2-4 tonne.

The range of machines from Bobcat is completed by a choice of fifteen different rigid frame telehandler models and four rotary telehandlers, covering maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 5.0 tonne and maximum lifting heights from 6.0 to 24.1 m.

Sandy Gray added: “The last year has seen many new developments including the addition of the new compact TL43.80HF high performance telehandler. We are excited about the prospects in Yorkshire for this product in farming and the new R-Series minis in construction and rental. Bobcat has also added new attachments, adding to the more than 80 different types of specialised attachment we can offer, from hydraulic breakers, crushers and planers and other construction and demolition attachments to scarifiers, graders, flail mowers, stump grinders and woodchippers for turf and forestry work.”
